In 2017 the MPA Bremen was examined three times by the DAkkS. On 03.04.2017 a surveillance assessment of the certification body took place, which was completed extremely successfully. Thus the accreditation of the certification body could be maintained. The surveillance assessment of the testing laboratory was carried out on 16 and 17.08.2017, with the result that the accreditation of the testing laboratory was also maintained. The third assessment in 2017 was carried out on 12 and 13.12.2017 including a witness audit on 11.12.2017. This was a re-accreditation assessment, whereby the re-accreditation of the certification body of the MPA Bremen was approved and recommended without restrictions by the assessors of the DAkkS.

New responsibilities since August 2016:

For the testing laboratory (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025) QM assignment : Dipl.Ing. Ricarda Küstermann-Degen, Deputy: Dipl.-Ing. Hakan Aycil

For the certification body (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065): QM representative: Dipl.-Ing. Hakan Aycil, deputy Dipl.-Ing. Ricarda Küstermann-Degen

The re-accreditation of the MPA Bremen testing laboratory carried out by the DAkkS in January 2016 was successfully completed. The new certificate including annex was issued on 21.07.2016.

The assessment of the certification body of the MPA Bremen by the DAkkS in April 2016 was also successfully completed. A new certificate including annex was issued on 08.07.2016. With the new certificate the certification body is permitted to apply new revisions of the product standards in the certification programmes without the prior consent of the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH.

The scope of the accredited certification body was extended by ETAG 009:2002-06 and EN 124-1 until 6:2015. The new accreditation certificate was issued on 24.11.2015.

Since 20.01.2016 a new notification certificate with the extension by ETAG 009 is available.

The assessment of the certification body of MPA Bremen by the DAkkS in April 2015 was successfully completed. A new certificate including annex was issued on 12.06.2015. The accreditation was extended by the building product "precast concrete elements - retaining wall elements" according to EN 15258.

Since 10.12.2014 the laboratory of the MPA Bremen is allowed to choose freely from standardised or equivalent test methods (flexibilisation of category I) in the accredited test area "Antimicrobial activity of materials as well as influence of microorganisms on materials". Another important innovation is the accreditation of the in-house procedure of MPA Bremen for the identification of microorganisms by means of MALDI Biotyper.

Since 23.06.2014 the certification body of MPA Bremen is accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013.

In November 2012 two DAkkS audits took place at MPA, a regular surveillance audit for the testing laboratory (initial accreditation in 2001) and the initial accreditation of the certification body. The certification body then received its accreditation certificate in spring 2013; a prerequisite for successful notification at the beginning of July 2013.

With its two accredited QM systems the MPA Bremen sees itself well prepared for the future as a provider of services for the testing and assessment of materials and the certification of building materials.
