FOR 1845: Ultra-Precision High Performance Cutting (UP-HPC)

The research group "Ultra-Precision High Performance Cutting" (UP-HPC) was a cooperation between the University of Bremen and Leibniz Universität Hannover, funded by the German Research Foundation and running from April 2014 to June 2020. The goal of the research group was to use scientific methods to reduce the disproportionately long main and auxiliary times in ultra-precision cutting, thereby helping this technology to find economic applications in the manufacturing industry.

Research Group 2688: Instabilities, Bifurcations and Migration in Pulsating Flow
Dynamics and instabilities of pulsating suspension flows in complex pipe geometries

The research group FOR 2688, funded by the German Research Foundation, aims to gain a fundamental understanding of pulsating flows. In an interdisciplinary team of engineers, physicists and physicians, we are researching this question from the fundamentals of flow instabilities to the migration of particles and the complex motions and deformations of red blood cells.
