The 14th High-Level Expert Meeting (HLEM) 2025 on "ASPHERE Metrology" of the CC UPOB took place in Braunschweig at the end of March, at which Wei Wang and Head of the High-Precision Technology Department / Head of the Laboratory for Micro Machining Oltmann Riemer presented current research results. With 70 participants, the event provided an ideal platform for interdisciplinary exchange on future-oriented topics in the field of aspherical metrology.

Wei Wang, a research associate in Production Engineering, impressed the audience with his presentation on the F3IOl project - advances in the functionality and production of intraocular lenses, securing 2nd place in the "Young Scientist Award (YSA)". The research ties in with current developments in aspherical metrology, which deals with high-precision measurement techniques for aspherical optics.
