On August 24, State Councillor Tim Cordßen-Ryglewski from the Department of Science visited Leibniz-IWT together with Dr. Petra Kühne. Mr. Cordßen-Ryglewski has been State Councillor at the Senator for Science and Ports since August 16, 2019.
The visit started with an overview lecture, through which Mr. Staatsrat Cordßen-Ryglewski gained insight into the organization, the research fields and the cooperation of the three main departments of Leibniz-IWT. Subsequently, Mr. Cordßen-Ryglewski was introduced to different stations of the different research activities of the institute in the course of a vivid tour. The comprehensive interdepartmental cooperation along the process chain of structural and functional materials became clear.
The special focus of the visit was on the future-oriented topics of "Materials and Processes for the Hydrogen Economy" and "Processes for Additive Manufacturing". The visit to additive manufacturing formed a fine finale: Here, the Bremen bowl with IWT logo was 3D printed for demonstration purposes and symbolically handed over to the guests as a thank you for the long and always constructive cooperation.
All participants were pleased to get to know each other personally and Leibniz-IWT would like to thank State Councilor Cordßen-Ryglewski for his interest.
