Twice a year, leading experts from industry and research in the field of metal sputtering meet at various locations in Germany and Austria. This time, the Leibniz-IWT and the University of Bremen hosted the event. Many of them made their way to Bremen on September 13 to discuss the latest developments and trends in the field of metal powder production and to talk about current and future research topics. In addition to the opportunity to exchange ideas on new joint research projects bilaterally, the agenda also included time for a tour of the process engineering department. For example, visitors were able to view powder production and processing systems, the droplet generator, ultrasonic atomization, FSP flame spray pyrolysis and IWT's laser cladding equipment.
