As in previous years, the Leibniz-IWT collected the so-called "residual cents" for a good cause in 2024. This involves saving the cents after the decimal point from many salary payments over the year in a common pot. At the annual works meeting, it was decided to donate the residual cents from 2024 to the Schattenriss e. V. association.  

Schattenriss e. V. is a non-profit association that has set itself the task of providing advice and support in cases of sexualized violence against girls, trans*, non-binary and intersex people in Bremen. The counseling is mainly aimed at those affected up to the age of 26, but support is also offered for relatives and acquaintances. Information and training events, educational measures and prevention projects for various institutions and professionals are also made possible.  

The institute is pleased to be able to support the employees and volunteers of Schattenriss e. V. with our donation.
