The Institute congratulates Michaela Sommer on being awarded 3rd place in the Hans Winter Prize of the Research Association for Drive Technology (FVA) 2022. Since it was first awarded in 2000, the Hans Winter Prize has established itself in specialist circles as a special recognition of excellence in drive technology research and is endowed with EUR 3,000. 
Ms Sommer's presentation at the FVA 2022 information conference on "Compound layer design for load-bearing capacity-optimized tooth flanks" convinced the jury of industry and science experts and earned her 3rd place in a competitive field. In addition to the degree of innovation of the research work carried out, the potential for use of the results as well as their presentation were particularly valued.

The official award ceremony took place on December 5 as part of the FVA Info Conference 2023 - Networking and Knowledge Exchange, where Ms. Sommer was able to accept the award.
