In October 2024, Dr. Anne Geppert joined the Institute as head of "Melt Atomization and Spray Forming" within the department of Process Engineering. 

Ms. Geppert has been conducting research in the field of droplet dynamic processes for more than 10 years - so far with a focus on experimental investigations of droplet impact processes on various surfaces. She completed her doctorate at the Institute of Aerospace Thermodynamics at the University of Stuttgart. 

After her doctorate in 2019, she worked at the German-Italian graduate school "DROPIT", short for "Droplet Interaction Technologies". In addition to expanding her field of research, Ms Geppert was also able to gain her first experience in coordinating interdisciplinary, intercultural teams, as well as in the organization and implementation of larger and smaller projects here.
