From September 10 to 12, the Leibniz-IWT hosted the summer school of the scientific NFDI (National Research Data Infrastructure) consortium MatWerk, which focuses on materials science and materials engineering. This working group discusses standardization processes that will provide a basis for the sustainable handling of research data in the future. 

The central challenge is the digital representation of materials and their relevant process and load parameters - this was the subject of lively discussion and work in Bremen under the leadership of our data steward and organizer of the summer school, Dr.-Ing. Norbert Riefler.
