Leibniz-IWT participated again this year at Formnext, the trade fair for additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing. This year, the fair was held completely digitally. Dr.-Ing. Axel von Hehl, Head of the Lightweight Materials Department, gave a presentation on "High-strength medium-alloy steels for laser-powder-bed-based additive manufacturing in automotive engineering" at the BMBF Technology Forum on November 11, 2020. In addition, the IWT presented itself together with its partners with the project "StaVari" in the digital exhibition Formnext Connect 2020.
