IWT represented at "Leibniz in der Bürgerschaft“

Successful appointment for Leibniz-IWT shortly before the end of the year: Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Rainer Fechte-Heinen and Dr.-Ing. Rainer Tinscher took part as Institute representatives in the online event "Leibniz in der Bürgerschaft". After an extremely constructive exchange with the SPD member of the Bremen Parliament, Ms Brünjes, on the topic of materials and processes for the hydrogen economy, the spokesperson for science and research is planning a visit to Leibniz-IWT next year.
On 10 December 2020, science and research were the focus of Bremen's parliament. At the "Leibniz in the Bremen Parliament" format, Bremen MPs had the opportunity to exchange views on current research topics with experts from the Leibniz Association from Bremen and Niedersachsen. Leibniz-IWT had this digital appointment with Ms Janina Brünjes from the SPD parliamentary group of the state of Bremen. She has been an SPD member of the Bremen parliament since 2019 and is, among other things, the spokesperson for science and research. One focus of her work is the hydrogen economy in the state of Bremen, on which Mr Fechte-Heinen and Mr Tinscher were able to answer some of her questions. After a lively and constructive discussion, it was agreed that Ms Brünjes would visit the IWT in the new year to get an even better picture of the institute and the materials and process-oriented research there. The Leibniz IWT is looking forward to the visit and to future exchanges.
