Distinguished visitor at Leibniz-IWT: On 16 October, the new Senator for Science and Ports, Dr. Schilling, was our guest.

After the welcome address by the Directorate, Dr. Schilling was given a guided tour of the institute to gain an insight into the different research foci and the extensive equipment of the institute.

After the presentation of the different departments by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Zoch, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Mädler and Dr.-Ing. habil. Heinzel, the Senator was quite impressed: "Top research from Bremen & this for almost 70 years", she twittered immediately after her visit.
