Dr. I. Okulov is appointed Associate Professor at the UrFU

High recognition for Dr. Ilya Okulov: he has now been appointed Associate Professor (part-time) at the Ural Federal University (UrFU) Russia.
Mr. Okulov is a scientist in process engineering at the University of Bremen in cooperation with the Leibniz Institute for Material Oriented Technologies - IWT in the field of additive manufacturing technologies. The UrFU's research infrastructure includes six research institutes operated jointly with the Russian Academy of Sciences, including the Institute of Metallurgy, the Institute of Physics of Metals and the Institute of Advanced Materials. A cooperation agreement between the University of Bremen and the Ural Federal University has been in place since the beginning of 2019, ensuring a long-term partnership in the field of research and innovation. This is a result of the close cooperation between the research groups of process engineering at the University of Bremen, the Leibniz Institute of Materials-oriented Technologies - IWT and the Ural Federal University in the field of additive manufacturing of magnet systems, which has been ongoing since 2018.
The professorship for Dr. Ilya Okulov is an important step to further intensify the interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and experts between both sides and to strengthen both locations.
