Since October Leibniz-IWT has a new equipment highlight in the heat treatment department. A fully automated Rohde bell hardening center was installed in our hardening shop. The furnace can be used for inert gas hardening, carbonitriding and edge oxidation-free carburizing. Another special feature of the bell furnace is the possibility of automated charging of samples and components. The quenching is carried out by salt and oil quenching.
