1st place in the Fluxtrol Student Research Competition

Gabriel Ebner was awarded 1st place in the Fluxtrol Student Research Competition at the International Conference on Quenching and Distortion Engineering (QDE 2025) in Vancouver, Canada.
Together with Prof. Rainer Fechte-Heinen, he represented Leibniz-IWT at the conference at the beginning of May. The competition for young scientists was sponsored this year by the company Fluxtrol.
With his presentation on "Shaft Distortion as a Result of Local Flow Inhomogeneities During Oil Quenching in an Industrial Quench Tank", the research assistant from the Heat Treatment department convinced the jury and secured the prize money of 1000 USD.
