Abstract:

In his online presentation, Dr. Pokhrel will show how metal sulfide nanoparticles can be synthesized from flames in O2-deficient environment. Metal sulfides are used in various industrial applications including catalysis, chemical sensors, energy storage, water splitting, lubricants, and/or wastewater treatment. The lecture provides an insight into the area of synthesis where the gas-phase synthesis of these sulfide materials were not possible before.
