Darmstadt
Germany
From September 29 to October 1, 2026, the MSE Congress will take place in Darmstadt – one of the most important international conferences for materials science and engineering. The event will be held in a hybrid format, enabling both on-site and online participation.
Prof. Dr. techn. Evgeniya Kabliman, member of the IWT Board of Directors and Head of the "Digitalization Technology" department at Leibniz-IWT, is co-organizing symposium D05 "Symbolic Regression in Materials Science and Engineering" together with Prof. Dr. Gabriel Kronberger from the University of Applied Sciences in Upper Austria. Symbolic regression is an innovative machine learning method that develops interpretable mathematical models from experimental data, enabling both predictions and contributing to the physical understanding of complex material systems.
The symposium is part of the congress topic "Digital Transformation" and provides a platform for exchanging information on current developments and applications of symbolic regression in materials science and engineering. Interested researchers are invited to present their work on this forward-looking topic and engage in discussions with international experts.
