On 15 November 2023, Leibniz-IWT will be represented with an information stand at Universum Bremen as part of MINT Day. Pupils from the 10th grade onwards will have the opportunity to gain insights into everyday research in engineering and to talk to our experts on site. The event is organised by the MINTforum Bremen in cooperation with the Senator for the Environment, Climate and Science and the Senator for Children and Education.
A special focus of the programme is explore.ING, a support programme coordinated by Leibniz-IWT that will start in the winter semester of 2024 and aims to sustainably encourage young women in their interest in the STEM field. The technically oriented "gap year" will include a diverse range of workshops, internships in Germany and abroad, taster events, networking events and offer participants the opportunity to live in shared flats with other interested women.
Explore.ING is generously supported and promoted by the Senator for Economics, Ports and Transformation, universities, institutes and companies in the Bremen region.
Our colleagues will be happy to answer any open questions and provide insights into the world of engineering on site for those interested.
