The demand for individual and increasingly complex components is growing. Product cycles are becoming ever shorter and sustainability is a cross-industry imperative. Against this backdrop, additive manufacturing has become increasingly important in recent years as an up-and-coming and innovative manufacturing process that differs fundamentally from conventional production processes. The field of additive manufacturing has developed dynamically from year to year and is now opening up innovative areas of application and potential uses as well as new technical challenges on an almost daily basis. In order to solve the biggest and most important challenges in the context of the widespread use of industrial 3D printing, it is essential for experts to exchange ideas in person.

To promote this exchange, the Formnext trade fair will take place in Frankfurt am Main from November 19 to 22, 2024. With more than 800 exhibitors from over 35 nations and more than 32,000 international visitors, Formnext is the world's largest professional trade fair for additive manufacturing. The trade fair acts as a place for personal exchange and as an international showcase for the latest and most innovative industrial 3D printing solutions along the entire process chain. Parallel to the trade fair, a specialist congress will take place, which will deal with the current and future application possibilities of additive manufacturing and their effects on product development and industrial manufacturing processes.

Leibniz-IWT will also be represented on site in 2024 with its expertise on the topic at the joint stand of the State of Bremen.
