3rd International Conference on Quenching and Distortion Engineering (QDE 2025)
Event details
BC V6C 0C3 Vancouver
Canada
Organized by the ASM Heat Treating Society and the International Federation for Heat Treatment (IFHTSE), the third international conference on Quenching and Distortion Engineering (QDE) will take place in Vancouver, Canada from May 5-8, 2025. QDE will be held concurrently with AeroMat 2025, AeroTech 2025 and the International Thermal Spray Conference and Exposition (ITSC) 2025, allowing participants to combine a wide range of research areas. In terms of content, the topics will include motion measurement and control, fluid mechanics, deformations, heat transfer, material and shape optimization, measurement of residual stresses, modelling of processes and phenomena as well as additive manufacturing. In addition to these theoretical inputs, participants will gain valuable insights into the transformative and practical potential of quenching and distortion technology for various industries (automotive, aerospace, electronics, etc.). With the aim of strengthening international networking and productively advancing research, the event will also provide a variety of opportunities for networking. As its original initiator, Leibniz-IWT is still closely associated with the conference today. Our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prof. Mr. Fechte-Heinen, is co-chairing the conference together with Scott MacKenzie, Ph.D. from FASM.
