Internal service areas and services

Leibniz-IWT has four internal service divisions which support the specialist departments as service providers.

The electrical engineering supports the use and optimization of all electronic systems in the company and is responsible for ensuring that operations run smoothly in terms of maintenance and servicing. 

The IWT workshop supports all research and service areas of the Leibniz-IWT, for example in the area of sample preparation as well as in the maintenance and servicing of equipment, repairs and technical advice.

The IWT's administration sees itself as a service provider for the institute's specialist departments in the areas of accounting, data protection, business trips, third-party funding, purchasing, reception, personnel and contract management.

The IT sees itself as a service provider for the Institute's specialist departments in the areas of office hardware, communication, multimedia, networks, non-scientific software and servers.

The Science Communication sees itself as a service provider both for the Institute's specialist departments and for external interested parties from the media, science and politics, among others.
