Die elektrische Betriebstechnik unterstützt bei der Anwendung und Optimierung aller elektrischen Systeme im Hause und verantwortet dafür mit Blick auf Instandhaltung und Wartung einen reibungslosen Betriebsablauf.
Die Werkstatt des IWT unterstützt alle Forschungs- und Servicebereiche des Leibniz-IWT beispielsweise im Bereich der Probenvorbereitung als auch in der Instandhaltung und Wartung von Geräten sowie bei Reparaturen und durch technische Beratung.
Die Verwaltung des IWT ist als Dienstleister für die Fachabteilungen des Instituts in den Bereichen Buchhaltung, Datenschutz, Dienstreisen, Drittmittel, Einkauf, Empfang, Personal und Vertragsmanagement tätig. Die übergeordneten Arbeitsgruppen teilen sich hier in Finanzen und Personal
Die IT des IWT bedient die Aufgabe des Dienstleister für die Fachabteilungen des Instituts in den Bereichen Büro-Hardware, Kommunikation, Multimedia, Netzwerke, nichtwissenschaftliche Software und Server.
Die Wissenschaftskommunikation ist als Dienstleister sowohl für die Fachabteilungen des Instituts als auch für externe Interessierte u.a. aus Medien, Wissenschaft und Politik tätig.

The electrical engineering supports the use and optimization of all electronic systems in the company and is responsible for ensuring that operations run smoothly in terms of maintenance and servicing.
The IWT workshop supports all research and service areas of the Leibniz-IWT, for example in the area of sample preparation as well as in the maintenance and servicing of equipment, repairs and technical advice.
The IWT's administration sees itself as a service provider for the institute's specialist departments in the areas of accounting, data protection, business trips, third-party funding, purchasing, reception, personnel and contract management. The higher-level working groups are divided into Finance and Human Resources.
