The most important ECO-Center assets are its employees. Knowledge transfer is practised here on a daily basis with vocational and on-going training actively practised at all levels, providing even the opportunity of achieving a Dr.-Ing. degree in mechanical engineering. Emphasis is placed on self-motivated project work in national and international partnerships where the scientists see themselves as mediators between research and science on the one hand and a diversity of industrial cultures on the other hand. State-of-the-art machines and measurement instrumentation are operated by highly-qualified technicians. But the driving force behind technologies is – and always be – people.
